Staff, Parenting at a Challenging Time (PACT) Program
Dr. Moore graduated from Cornell University in 1988 and received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Virginia in 1997. She completed a pre-doctoral internship in the Department of Psychiatry at MGH and a post-doctoral fellowship jointly at MGH and Harvard Community Health Plan, becoming a licensed clinical psychologist in 1998. She then accepted a position at the Judge Baker Children's Center as the project director for an NIH funded study examining the complex relationships between childhood abuse and intimate partner violence.
In 2003, Dr. Moore joined the Marjorie E. Korff Parenting at a Challenging Time (PACT) Program at MGH (www.mghpact.org), and began caring for individuals and families coping with a parent's medical illness. She teaches locally and nationally about how parents and healthcare professionals can support children living with a chronically ill parent, and conducts research on the specific challenges faced by parents who are managing cancer.
